Sociopolitical art is a form of conceptual art where the idea to be expressed, by whatever artistic media, is both social and political in origin.

Why is it important to promote traditional arts from the region?
Traditional Arts (TA) provides a shared experience for the community. Values and belief systems are often embedded in these art forms and passed down through generations; as such, they form a common language through which we can engage the various communities that make up our society.

Exhibitions and fairs are the best way to preserve art forms such as painting, sculpturing, etc. People get to see a lot of traditional fine art works which is crafted with perfection. Such shows inspire them to learn the traditional art forms.

Creating art can be beneficial throughout all stages of life. It can help children be better students and improve quality of life for seniors. The creative process relieves burdensome stress, encourages creative thinking, boosts self-esteem, and provides a sense of accomplishment.

Painting sharpens the mind through conceptual visualization and implementation, plus, boosts memory skills. People using creative outlets such as writing, painting and drawing have less chance of developing memory loss illnesses when they get older.

Being ‘good’ or ‘bad’ at art is not important; the act of being creative offers ways to enrich our everyday lives. Being creative also releases dopamine and endorphins that make you feel good. A study has shown that individuals who were more creative tended to live longer.
Why is drawing so fun?
Drawing is fun because it is a form of self-expression. You can make it whatever you want it to be, and create what you wish. For me, drawing is creation. Just like when an author writes a fiction book, they’re creating life through words, an entire world within the pages of their book.

Art can teach us about our surroundings and how each of us fits in the scheme of things. It allows us to imagine, create and reflect our ideas in a visual representation of our world. Art teaches us how we feeling and the expression on our Art work.
